February into March

I haven't had time to play games. I try to get to play a couple of minutes of Phoenix Wright and Super Mario World. When I'm back home I get some minutes on Star Ocean 2 and rarely get to plug in my PS3 to play Valkyria Chronicles. What a shame!

I want to finish Trials and Tribulations before I get Ghost Trick, so I should get on with that and stop wasting time doing nothing online.

Also I have Tactics Ogre on my list to games to buy but I want to create a sort of "sequence list" where I have to beat a certain game before I buy/play another similar one. Say, I will have to beat Ogre Battle 64 before getting Tactics Ogre.

Persona 2: Innocent Sin is another game I want to finish off soon and restart/continue Eternal Punishment before the PSP port comes out. I'll probably a new PSP to play that game, now that's blind fanboyism for Atlus.

So I need to get organized in school to have enough time to bum around and play video games.

right on!

New Year and stuff.

So I started school and so far I have to make time to play the ol' VGs but I'm not in the mood to play anything at the moment. I have been playing a bit of Phoenix Wright Trials and Tribulations and Super Mario World here and there.

I guess I did play a lot of stuff over my sabbatical/getting used to being here period last year.

Don't have any introspective comments about games at the moment. I just keep thinking I have so much stuff to get through and that these next couple of years are going to be my last of video gaming. It's a cool passtime but I want to make more things, like music and drawings, and that video games are only a one-way passtime. I get some entertainment but I don't get to create something back.

I remember saying that last generation was going to be my last gen of games but here I'm living with a Wii and PS3 but I really think this is my last couple of years of doing these things. I guess I'll miss getting shiny new things from Atlus...but I guess I could just buy those specific games and bum the consoles from other people!

Anyway, here's a recap of my "accomplishments" last year:

Go, Raidou!

I've been listening to some music from some MegaTen games I played in the past (Raidou, Digital Devil Saga) and it made itch to play those games a second time.

September has been alright, played and beaten a couple of games. My PSP still fucked so I have to figure out what to do with it.

Can't think of anything else to say.

Devil Survivor: Round Two.

I spent most of this week, I believe since Tuesday, re-playing Devil Survivor. The second helping was quicker and more obsessive than the first time I played it. I beat the game today, this ending was pretty epic, mostly because of the battles.

Played a little bit of SMT: Strange Journey, haven't touch FFT, FFIV or Persona 2 or the other Phoenix Wright in a while. We'll see how everything goes. I'm feeling like playing Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap.

I might do a section posting passwords and my only map of Strange Journey.

Here's a random photo:

I went to the taxman

Today I got in the mail Lunar: Silver Star Harmony. I always wanted to play a Lunar game and now I finally have the chance, woot. Now I need to get my PSP back from my brother.

Yesterday was also released Doctor Who - Dalek War from the Jon Pertwee years. He's my favorite Doctor so the stories from his years are a must buy from me. I know Dalek stories aren't that good but it's good times when that dandy is around.

As the title implies I went to do my taxes and that's all I need to say about that. Right after I went and bought Shadow Hearts because my brother won't let me borrow it forever, how selfish.

Kinda not playing Dragon Quest V, the grinding it's tedious and I haven't touched Mass Effect for a week or two, must finish them!

You say captain! I say wot!

So I'm near the end of Dragon Quest V, it has been good but those 23 hours felt a little long. In the other hand Mass Effect's 15 have been pretty smooth, except when I press the wrong key or the framerate drops. When these and other computer problems happen I want to smash my fist through the screen. Mind you, I never get frustrated with gaming but I decided that PC gaming it's too frustrating for me. You can never know if the game it's going to run well.

I get the feeling that of all Dragon Quest games I'm only going to play 5 and 8, and this latter one I have yet to finish. Their battle systems are a bit too old to keep me glued and not feel I'm just pressing x/a the whole time.

I've bought a shit load of games without guilt this past month which it's pretty great. Now I know that my gaming has an end and that enable me to enjoy gaming once again, it makes sense in my head.

I decided that I won't be getting a Xbox 360 ever, I don't want to be stuck with a $300 brick if it dies on me. The only way is if Atlus decides to make Megaten games on it. But I've been itching to get a PS3, so if the next Megami Tensei game is going to be on the PS3 I'll buy it.

Though the games I want on PS3 are good reasons to get one they aren't the tipping point. Here is my PS3 wish list:
-Bayonetta
-Bioshock
-Fallout 3
-Valkyria Chronicles
-Super Street Fighter IV
-Soul Calibur IV

Notice that only one of these games is an exclusive, if I somehow end up getting an X360 I'll get Mass Effect 2 instead of Valkyria Chronicles.

But anyway, March is the release of Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey. What else can I say? It's looking awesome. I might even get desperate to play it like I did when Persona PSP came out and (actually) run to the store and buy it play it until the cows come home, instead of waiting for my online order to arrive. I'm not usually a day-one kinda person but Megaten has a strong hold on me...oh year all FFXIII to the wish list up there.

Also in March, Infinite Space and Lunar:SSH. Too much RPG goodness, I'm set for life!!! whagggdf.
